Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for services provided by Rymote LLC. It applies together with our Terms of Service and the statement of work ("SOW") for your engagement. If a signed SOW states different terms, the SOW controls.
1. Fixed-scope projects
- You may cancel before work begins for a full refund of any prepaid amounts, minus any non-recoverable costs we have already incurred on your behalf (for example, third-party licenses purchased at your request).
- After work begins, you may cancel with written notice. You pay for work performed and milestones completed through the cancellation date; any prepaid amounts beyond that are refunded.
- Completed and accepted milestones are non-refundable.
2. Monthly retainers
- Retainers may be cancelled by either party with 30 days' written notice.
- The current billing month is payable in full. Months prepaid beyond the notice period are refunded in full.
- Unused retainer capacity within a billed month does not roll over and is not refunded.
3. Hourly consulting
- Scheduled sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be billed at 50%.
- Hours already worked, as documented in itemized time logs, are non-refundable.
- Prepaid hour packages: unused hours are refundable for 90 days from purchase.
4. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Card refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer. ACH and wire refunds typically complete within 5 business days.
5. Billing questions and disputes
If you believe an invoice or charge is incorrect, contact us at hi@rymote.io within 30 days of the invoice or charge date. We respond to billing inquiries within 2 business days and aim to resolve disputes within 10 business days. Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue directly.
